COURSE OF INSTRUCTIONS AND THEIR DURATIONS
The Courses offered by the institution are three-year Diploma Course in Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electronics & Communication Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Computer Engineering; Production & Industrial Engineering and Architectural Assistantship. The examination of theses courses are conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training. These Diploma Courses are recognized by the Government of India and State Government for the purpose of recruitment to the Subordinate Engineering Services under them. The three- year Diploma has also been recognized by the Institution of Engineers (India) for exemption from Studentship Examination.

270 Seats for the regular Diploma Courses have been allotted to the Institution including reservation of 2% seats in each branch for sports persons as per details given below: -

| 6. At least one seat is reserved over and above sanctioned strength for Kashmiri Migrants. Â Such seats will be filled in accordance with the notification issued by the Chandigarh Administration from time to time. |
| 7) Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) Seats up to maximum 5% (supernumerary in nature) of sanctioned intake per course shall be available for the admission under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) for students belonging to economically weaker section as per guidelines of AICTE/PSBET & I T/ U. T Chd. Amdn form time to time. |
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMISSION
The minimum educational qualifications for admission to these courses are as under: -
- For three-years-Diploma in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Production & Industrial Engineering and Arch. Assistantship Course.
- Candidate having passed 2 Year of Junior technical Certificate Course by State Board of Technical Education , Punjab shall also be considered for admission on merit with matriculates.
Admission in second year diploma courses under LEET (Lateral Entry Engineering Test) are reserved which is over and above sanctioned intake, the admission to these seats shall be done by PSBTE & IT. The number of seats and educational qualification shall be strictly as per the notification issued by the Punjab Govt. from time to time.
Note: - For admission to all the above courses there is no age limit.
RULES FOR ADMISSION
The admission to three years, diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Architectural Assistantship, Computer Engineering and Production & Industrial Engineering shall be made on the basis of merit of 10th Examination
