Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering is offering three year Diploma course in Electrical Engineering. The course offered by the Electrical Engineering Department is AICTE approved. The present sanctioned intake in Electrical Engineering diploma course is 50 with additional 20% of sanctioned intake admitted directly in 2nd year as per norms. The Electrical Engineering Department is also running a Part Time Diploma of four years duration with sanctioned intake of 25 for candidates who are working in state government or private industries in the relevant field. The Part Time Diploma helps the working candidates in enhancing their qualification while continuing their present job. Many of these candidates have got Departmental promotion after successfully completed the Part Time Diploma.

The Department has all modern and updated facilities along with well qualified teaching faculty. Since its inception the Department of Electrical Engineering has contributed in a big way to the society by providing technical manpower in various fields of Electrical engineering. The Electrical Engineering Diploma holders have found employment in various Departments of State government apart from reputed industries like Atlas copco, Makino INDIA, EMRON Ericsson, ITC (Gurgaon) etc. Many of the students have become entrepreneurs also. A four week practical training is provided to the students of Electrical Engineering Department in the leading companies at the end of fourth semester as per curriculum which helps them a lot in gaining hands on experience. The Department has up-to-date laboratories such as Electrical Machine Lab, Electrical Measurements and Measuring Instruments Lab, Electronics Lab and Personal Computer Maintenance Lab for conducting the various experiments and projects as per the curriculum of diploma education program. The Computer Maintenance Lab has sufficient Personal Computers with latest features and version along with computing facilities.

The various projects (outdoor/indoor) are fabricated and developed as per the syllabus guidelines in the laboratories. In the project activity the students are trained to fabricate working models apart from conventional ones like voltage stabilizers, Automatic controllers, power invertors, and digital clock etc. This practice creates innovation and development attitude among the young students.

The Electrical Engineering Department has fully maintained one No. 62.5 kVA three phase alternator which supplies backup power in the event of power failure.


The following teaching faculties are presently working in the Electrical Engineering Department. Apart from teaching they are contributing in various other college activities like co-curricular, sports, horticulture, skill development etc.
